Mission statement

Enon Baptist Association exists to promote the message of the saving grace of Jesus Christ through management of the cooperative mission and ministry endeavors of our member churches. This association is to be a loving fellowship of Southern Baptist congregations in South Central Oklahoma, bound together by the redeeming mercy of God.


history - EST. AUGUST 29, 1885

The Enon Baptist Association was organized August 29, 1885 at Wilson Creek Church, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, eight miles southwest of present-day Ardmore. The present association consists of thirty-five churches and one mission in four counties.

The Baptist association in North America is local churches in a geographical region cooperating together to reach people, do missions and ministries both locally and globally.

Enon Baptist Association faces the future with new and dynamic ways to equip churches and believers to share the timeless message of Jesus Christ.

Enon Association is a part of Oklahoma Baptists and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Enon gets its name from John 3:23…”John was also baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water there.” (HCSB)
